- A man noticed a suspicious package on his driveway
- He called the bomb squad to investigate
- However, they only found love letters
In this age of uncertainties, one Tennessee family was understandably cautious when they saw a suspicious package on their driveway recently.
It was a cardboard box wrapped like a Christmas gift and had an "open asap" note on top of it. Not wanting to take chances, the family's dad called the bomb squad.
After a careful inspection of the box, the squad found it didn't contain a bomb. On the contrary, it had love letters and a teddy bear.
Logan Abernathy, a police spokesperson, said:
There were love letters, two love letters, a photograph of a female lying in the river, clothed, and it was an attempt to contact a man she met on Tinder.
Police managed to locate the woman but didn't press any charges. Perhaps they just hoped she'd find the man she was looking for.
