- A concerned driver took a photo of a homeless man and shared it online
- The homeless man's brother came across it and realised it was his long-lost brother
- They were reunited after seven years
A concerned commuter helped reunite two brothers after he shared a photo of a starving homeless man on Facebook.
Johnny Servantez, from Indianapolis, US, shared the distressing photo on 23 September. He urged passersby in the area to donate some money to the homeless man.
Users shared the post over 1,700 times. It soon came to the attention of Danny Rhodes, who immediately recognised the man as his long-lost brother.
In an interview, Danny said his brother, Johnny Rhodes, disappeared soon after their mother passed away seven years ago.
Despite a long search that included a Facebook page about Johnny, Danny never found him until he saw Servantez's post.
He added that Johnny had a drug problem when he went missing. However, he is glad that they are finally reunited.
He and a friend found a safe place for Johnny to stay. They continue to supply him with food and drinks.
