- He claims muthi keeps him safe
KZN anti-corruption activist Thabiso Zulu claims his "strong muthi" keeps him safe from the ever-present threat of assassination.
Zulu was a friend of former ANCYL leader Sindiso Magaqa, who was gunned down earlier this year reportedly because of his outspoken anti-corruption stance.
He has continued with Magaqa's activism and recently spoke out at the ongoing Moerane Commission on KZN political killings.
Speaking to dailysun.co.za, Zulu said he complements his family's prayers for his safety with the use of muthi. He explained:
Nobody will be able to touch me because I have a strong belief in muthi and I use it correctly. I follow all the procedures and the muthi has protected me many times.

He added that although he requested for government protection due to threats to his life, the main reason he's still alive is his muthi.
He further explained that he has been tipped off many times to avoid going to certain events and places. He attributes this to the traditional medicine.
