Kimber Dowsett overheard a conversation which belonged in another decade as she waited to board her plane at the airport. A couple was arguing over a promotion that woman had been offered.

The man didn't want her to take it, he said he would be humiliated if she earned more money that him. His partner. He even out her on a guilt trip accusing her of putting her career ahead of their relationship.

His attempts to manipulate her were successful and she burst into tears, saying that he would never do anything to threaten their relationship.

Dowsett overheard the entire conversation and was livid at the man's attitude. The conversation began to take an interesting turn when the man said that his girlfriend would have to quit anyway to take care of the kids when they got married.

Blinking through her tears the girlfriend asked incredulously what gave him the idea that she wanted children. She threw her ticket at him and stormed away to the applause of the other passengers waiting to board the plane.

What really made Dowsett upset was that this was happening in 2017, a time when people should have progressed away from the dated ideas that men were supposed to be the dominant breadwinners.
