The ANC's half-baked cake orders are painful to look at

- The cakes the ANC have ordered for this year's celebration were hideous

- They range from bad to worse with only one cake seeming half-decent

- The ANC needs to review its cake procurement processes

In the age of social media it is almost impossible not to see what someone had for lunch or an amazing cocktail they drank or a stunning cake that was baked. With all the great bakers out there making amazing cakes one would think that the ANC would know a bad cake when they see one, apparently not.

Whoever gives the go-ahead for these ANC celebration cakes clearly has no idea of the amazing creations that are available. Some of these cakes look like a mother's disastrous attempt at their first birthday cake according to iol.co.za.

Briefly.co.za knows that the celebrations for the ANC's 106th birthday were often flashy affairs but the cakes that were presented gave social media a lot to talk about. The whole debacle gave a new definition to the expression, having one's cake and eating it.

This cake was particularly ugly and appeared misshapen as if the baker had six random cakes lying around. Most bakers would never let a cake like that leave the kitchen, was this the best design the ANC chose, if so what did the other options look like?

It gets worse, the following cakes remind us of cakes that wee baked with the "help" of toddlers.

The best cake even had its own honour guard of MK veterans, perhaps Cyril Ramaphosa ordered this one, he did cut it after all.

Social medial thrives on these misadventures and someone always finds a way to make a funny situation hilarious.

These cakes look a whole lot better, perhaps the ANC should get hold of the baker for their next cake.
